Job role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician
Location: Kyle of Lochalsh & Applecross, Scotland
Salary: £26,775 - £29,750 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role Overview
Trevett Services are delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering and defence organisation to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of a specialist operational facility in the Highlands of Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with building fabric and general maintenance experience to join a highly skilled estates team. You'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a unique and technically advanced environment, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and operational.
This role is based across sites in Kyle of Lochalsh and Applecross, with travel to other operational locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across commercial buildings and site facilities.
- Complete a wide range of building fabric maintenance including:
- Ceiling tile replacement
- Blind repairs and replacements
- Lock changes
- Minor door repairs
- Drain unblocking
- Descaling works
- Legionella (L8) flushing
- Decorating
- PAT Testing
- Support the delivery of high-quality maintenance services in line with company standards.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Identify maintenance improvements and report asset defects where necessary.
- Deliver excellent customer service while communicating effectively with site personnel.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using company systems.

Essential Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade or vocational discipline or equivalent hands-on experience within a similar maintenance role.
- Previous experience within a multi-skilled maintenance, Fabric engineer or building maintenance role.
- Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Strong building fabric maintenance skills within commercial or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Experience maintaining building services and site assets to a high standard.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
