Mobile Fabric Maintenance Technician - North East of England
Salary - £32,774.12 per annum
Location: Mobile role covering Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Darlington and Teesside.
Contract Type: Fixed Term 12 months, Full time
Hours: Typical attendance 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday.
You'll receive 22.5 days' annual leave, rising to 25 days after five years' service, plus bank holidays.
There may be a future requirement for you to join the out of hours callout rota.
About The Role
We're looking for a Mobile Fabric Maintenance Technician to join Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions, carrying out building maintenance and repairs across our sites in the North East.
Using your practical skills across areas such as carpentry and wet trades, you'll help ensure our buildings remain safe, secure and well maintained.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and repairs
- Using your carpentry and wet trade skills to complete a variety of maintenance tasks
- Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repairs
- Working independently across multiple Royal Mail sites
- Liaising professionally with customers and colleagues
- Working closely with other maintenance and engineering technicians
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures

About You
You'll have practical experience within building maintenance, property maintenance or facilities maintenance, alongside good knowledge of carpentry and wet trades.
You'll also have:
- Practical building maintenance and repair experience
- Carpentry and wet trade skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy, including email and electronic management systems
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points
