The role
As a Fabrication Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in leading and motivating production teams to safely deliver critical engineering and manufacturing work that supports the UK's defence capabilities. This is an opportunity to take ownership of production activities, drive performance, and contribute to high-profile marine engineering programmes while developing your leadership and operational management career.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
- Leading and motivating teams to safely deliver agreed production targets and work packages.
- Managing workloads to ensure work is completed to cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Maintaining safe working practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Setting daily production objectives and monitoring performance to achieve successful delivery.
- Driving productivity, improving efficiency, and taking ownership of operational performance within your area.
Essential experience of the Fabrication Production Supervisor
- Experience supervising engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, shipbuilding, marine, or production teams.
- Knowledge of installation activities involving pumps, valves, pipework, shaft lines, engines, rudders, stabilisers, or similar mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering and installation drawings.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Practical problem-solving skills with a proactive and common-sense approach to decision-making.

Qualifications for the Fabrication Production Supervisor
- Time-served in a fabrication discipline with extensive recent and relevant industry experience.
- Recognised safety training, such as IOSH, Working at Height, Confined Spaces, or equivalent.
- Ordinary National Certificate or Higher National Certificate in an engineering-related discipline is desirable.
- Experience using IFS or similar enterprise resource planning systems is desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
