Role Description
This full-time, in house & on-site Fabrication role is based in North Bedfordshire. The Fabricator will cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal components to produce gates, frames, and related structures according to drawings and specifications.

Daily tasks include:
- Reading and interpreting technical plans
- Operating fabrication tools and machinery
- Measuring and preparing materials

The role also involves collaborating with installers and other team members, maintaining a safe and organized workshop, and performing routine equipment maintenance. The Fabricator may occasionally assist with on-site fitting, adjustments, and repairs to ensure installations meet client and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong metal fabrication skills, including cutting, drilling, forming, and assembling components.
- Proficiency with welding processes (e.g., MIG/TIG/arc) and safe operation of fabrication machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications accurately.
- Good understanding of workshop safety practices, manual handling, and basic health and safety regulations.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Previous experience in fabrication, gate installation, or construction-related roles is highly beneficial.
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in fabrication, welding, or a related trade is an advantage.
