About the Company
Activus Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Aberdeenshire.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, growing organisation and work on a variety of structural and piping fabrication projects in a professional workshop environment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality fabrication and welding work, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and to the required standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication and welding of metal components.
- Carry out structural and piping fabrication work.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Read, interpret and work from manufacturing drawings.
- Complete manufacturing work packs, timesheets and associated documentation.
- Perform cutting and heating tasks using plasma cutting equipment, oxygen and acetylene systems.
- Undertake preventative maintenance activities on fleet and non-fleet equipment when required.
- Maintain stock control procedures and report shortages or issues to the purchasing team.
- Keep work areas clean, organised and maintained to a high standard.
- Support a collaborative and professional working environment.

Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Forklift certification would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a fabrication and welding role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- MIG welding
- TIG welding
- Flux Core welding processes
- Experience welding in multiple positions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices within a workshop environment.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: DOE (Depending on Experience)
