About The Role

Fabricator-Welder (Days)

Location: Leeds

At Panda, we’re looking for a skilled Fabricator-Welder to join our Fabrications team in Leeds working on a day-shift.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll repair, maintain and refurbish waste containers to a high standard, making sure they are safe, functional, presentable and ready for customer use.

As a Fabricator-Welder at Panda, you’ll be part of a busy operational environment where quality workmanship, safe working practices and attention to detail really matter.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll carry out a range of welding, fabrication and repair work, supporting the smooth running of the fabrication yard and wider maintenance operation.

Your Role Will Include

  • Carrying out welding, grinding, cutting, burning and general fabrication duties as assigned by the Fabrications/Maintenance Manager
  • Repairing and maintaining waste containers, ensuring they are fully functional, safe and presentable for customer use
  • Maintaining machinery, tools and equipment to a high standard, promptly reporting any defects
  • Working collaboratively with the welding and fabrication team and approved third-party contractors
  • Ensuring all work areas are free from hazards before starting tasks
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the fabrication yard at all times
  • Supporting the maintenance workshop with tasks as required
  • Cleaning down your work area at the end of each shift and following safe working practices
  • Completing and submitting relevant documentation such as log sheets, tool checks, inspection reports and other required paperwork
  • Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues and site personnel while representing Panda

This Fabricator-Welder role would suit someone who takes pride in practical work, enjoys solving problems and understands the importance of keeping equipment safe, reliable and ready for use.

Health and safety

Safety is central to how we work at Panda. You’ll be expected to follow company procedures, use the correct PPE and carry out hot works in line with HSE guidelines and company permit-to-work procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
