CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for Fabricator/Platers for one of our clients based in Chesterfield, S46.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, measure and mark out materials, and prepare steel and platework for fabrication.
  • Cut, drill, grind, bend, fit and assemble components using appropriate workshop tools and equipment.
  • Fabricate and weld structural steelwork and platework to required specifications, dimensions and tolerances.
  • Use lifting equipment and workshop machinery safely and correctly.
  • Inspect finished work, carry out finishing and grinding, and ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, meet production deadlines and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
