Job Title:

Fabricator/Welder

Hourly Pay:

  • £17.95/hr (Day Shift)
  • £23.93/hr (Night Shift)

Working Week:

37.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursdays)

Location:

Larne, NI

The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team in Larne. In this hands-on role, you'll use your expertise to produce high-quality components and assemblies, working with a range of fabrication and welding techniques to support world-class products.

You'll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and problem-solving, with opportunities to further develop your skills while making a direct contribution to our manufacturing success.

What You Will Do:

  • Carry out a range of welding activities, MIG, gas welding, brazing, and soldering across a variety of materials.
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, and rework generator set components, including skid bases, silencers, tanks, and container systems.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work with minimal supervision, interpreting engineering drawings and determining appropriate methods and work sequences.
  • Produce high-quality work that meets required safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Conduct fabrication and welding operations on bespoke and special-order products.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with 5S principles and site safety requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with our Values in Action and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues when required, helping to develop team capability and skills.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and business needs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Fabrication and Welding.
  • Able to follow detailed work instructions, technical procedures, and verbal guidance accurately.
  • Comfortable performing measurements and calculations required for fabrication and welding activities.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly plans.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns, including overtime and shift work when required.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Overhead crane and slinging experience.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work safely at height.
  • Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills.

Additional Information:

  • The fab/weld role is subject to an hourly pay increase effective 1st October 2026.
  • Uniform and PPE will be provided.
  • Onsite Canteen.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Overtime opportunities may be available on Fridays, subject to business requirements.
