Facade Designer

Reports to: Contract Manager
Office location: London

We strive to be at the very top of our industry in terms of quality control, development of staff, and customer service.

Our work focus is:

  • Restoration: external mansion block repair schemes and internal common part refurbishment.
  • Cladding remediation: design and build contracts replacing combustible cladding to residential high-rise buildings.
  • Fire compartmentation: certified fire door installation, repair and maintenance, as well as compartmentation schemes and installation of fire detection and suppression systems.

Job Purpose:

The main objective of the Facade Designer is to produce and enhance exterior architectural designs, which encompass comprehensive drawings, specifications, and material selections that align with the architectural vision, technical standards, and safety regulations.

Main Duties:

  • Develop and create façade designs for various building projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and aesthetic standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to incorporate façade designs into the overall project plans.
  • Generate technical drawings in both 2D and 3D formats, along with specifications for façade projects.
  • Conduct research on materials and select suitable options for façade construction, taking into account durability and sustainability.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Offer technical support during the production phase to address any façade-related issues that may arise during remediation work.
  • Engage in client meetings during the initial design phase and continue participation as needed throughout the remediation process.
  • Support our Estimation team and production team with project technical queries.

Person Specification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in façade design or a similar role, accompanied by a strong portfolio of past project designs.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant building codes.
