Facade Remediation Designer
Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Employment: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Facade Remediation Designer to join our growing façade remediation team. This is a great opportunity for a designer with experience in cladding, façades, EWI, fire remediation or external wall systems who wants to be involved in a variety of technically challenging projects from design development through to construction. Working closely with our project, commercial and site teams, you will help develop practical, compliant and buildable façade solutions across a range of remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop facade remediation designs and technical drawings.
- Develop details for cladding replacement, EWI/render systems, brickwork interfaces and cavity barrier/fire-stopping installations.
- Review existing façade construction and develop appropriate remediation solutions.
- Prepare GA drawings, detailed construction drawings, sections, elevations and typical details.
- Coordinate designs with structural, architectural and specialist subcontractor requirements.
- Review and incorporate information from intrusive surveys, site investigations and existing building information.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and project teams to develop compliant solutions.
- Assist with design risk assessments and technical submissions.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Building Regulations, British Standards, manufacturers' requirements and project specifications.
- Support the site team with technical queries and design information throughout construction.
- Attend site visits and design meetings where required.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in facade, cladding, EWI, curtain walling or building remediation design.
- Strong knowledge of external wall construction and façade systems.
- Experience producing detailed technical drawings, ideally using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- An understanding of fire safety, cavity barriers, fire stopping and façade remediation.
- The ability to interpret existing drawings, survey information and site conditions.
- Good attention to detail and a practical understanding of how designs are constructed on site.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Experience working on projects involving:
- Cladding replacement
- EWI/render remediation
- Brickwork removal and reinstatement
- Cavity barriers and fire stopping
- Cedral/fibre cement cladding
- Rainscreen cladding systems
- Balcony remediation
- High-rise or residential facade remediation
