Façade Estimator
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to £100,000 + Package
Permanent | Full-Time
I’m working with an established and growing specialist façade contractor who is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced Façade Estimator.
The business has built a strong reputation within the façade sector, delivering complex external envelope packages across London and the South East. With a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they’re looking for an experienced Estimator who can take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover.
The Role
- Taking ownership of façade tenders from initial enquiry through to submission
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Producing detailed and accurate cost estimates
- Carrying out take-offs and preparing tender submissions
- Pricing labour, materials, preliminaries, overheads and profit
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Pricing façade systems including rainscreen cladding, SFS, curtain walling and associated external finishes
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value-engineering solutions
- Liaising directly with clients, suppliers and manufacturers
- Attending tender interviews and client meetings
- Working closely with the wider pre-construction, design and commercial teams
- Managing successful tender handovers into the delivery team

What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience working as an Estimator / Senior Estimator within the façade or building envelope sector
- Detailed knowledge of façade, cladding, SFS and/or curtain walling systems
- Proven ability to manage tenders independently
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and technical information
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong relationships within the façade supply chain would be advantageous
- Confident dealing directly with clients and negotiating tenders
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines
