Facade Estimator
West Midlands
Full-time
A specialist glazing and facade contractor is looking for a Facade Estimator to support tendering across curtain walling, architectural glazing, cladding and wider building envelope projects.
This role would suit someone who can review drawings, understand project scopes, build accurate costs and help produce competitive, commercially sound tenders.
You will be working closely with pre-construction, commercial, design and project teams to make sure each tender is priced clearly, risks are understood and handovers are practical for delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications and schedules
- Preparing estimates for glazing, curtain walling, cladding and facade packages
- Carrying out take-offs and building cost plans
- Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Highlighting risks, exclusions, assumptions and value engineering options
- Supporting tender submissions and post-tender clarifications
- Providing clear handover information to commercial and delivery teams

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
