Facade Quantity Surveyor

London
Full-time

We are looking for a Facade Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist building envelope contractor working across curtain walling, architectural glazing, cladding and facade packages.

This role would suit a commercially focused QS with experience managing facade or glazing packages from early procurement through to final account. You will be working closely with project, commercial, design and site teams to ensure costs, variations, subcontractor accounts and client valuations are managed accurately.

The role will involve:

  • Managing commercial duties across curtain walling, glazing and facade projects
  • Preparing and reviewing valuations, applications and payment notices
  • Managing variations, change control and cost reporting
  • Supporting subcontractor procurement and package buying
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and scope documents to identify commercial risks
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts
  • Supporting CVRs, forecasts, cashflow and cost-to-complete reporting
  • Working closely with project managers, site teams and design teams
  • Attending client, project and commercial meetings where required
  • Helping protect margin while keeping projects commercially controlled

We are looking for someone with:

  • Quantity Surveying experience within facades, curtain walling, glazing or building envelope packages
  • Strong understanding of commercial management on construction projects
  • Experience with variations, valuations, subcontractor accounts and final accounts
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications and package scopes
  • Good knowledge of facade systems, glazing packages or curtain walling works
  • Strong numerical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Confidence working with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams
  • Good commercial judgement and attention to detail

Experience across curtain walling, aluminium glazing systems, architectural glazing, windows, doors, rainscreen cladding, structural glazing or wider facade packages would be highly relevant.

This could suit a Quantity Surveyor, Facade Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up, Project QS or Commercial Surveyor with strong building envelope experience.
