Role Description
As a Face to Face Fundraiser at The GRIT Project, you will engage directly with members of the public to inspire them to support charitable causes through regular giving. In this full-time, on-site role based in Folkestone, you will represent partner charities with professionalism and integrity, clearly communicating their mission and impact. You will work towards agreed fundraising targets, follow ethical fundraising standards, and adhere to all compliance and data protection requirements. You will also participate in regular training sessions, team meetings, and coaching to continuously develop your communication skills and fundraising performance.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and hold engaging, values-driven conversations face to face.
- Persuasive storytelling and presentation abilities, including confidence in speaking with diverse members of the public and representing charity partners accurately and ethically.
- Resilience and self-motivation, with a results-oriented mindset, the capacity to handle rejection constructively, and a commitment to meeting and exceeding fundraising targets.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, including reliability, openness to feedback, and the ability to contribute positively to a supportive, high-performance team culture.
- Organizational and professionalism skills, such as punctuality, attention to detail when capturing donor data, and adherence to fundraising regulations and data protection requirements.
- Willingness to learn, participate in ongoing training, and adapt to different fundraising locations, audiences, and campaign objectives.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, fundraising, or community outreach is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to work on-site in Folkestone, with availability for full-time hours and the right to work in the UK.
