Location: Remote screening; recording at a studio location

Type: Short-term contract, approx. 5 days

Compensation: $600 per recording day + $10,000 likeness licence fee

About the role

We’re building a conversational AI character, and we’re casting one adult to be its face, voice and personality. In the public demo, anyone will be able to have a short, live, unscripted conversation with it, and it will generate new responses in your likeness rather than replaying recorded scenes.

You don’t need to be an actor.
The character needs to feel like a real person you’d enjoy being introduced to: warm, quick-thinking, genuinely curious, with gentle humour and an understated presence. That’s a people skill more than a performance skill. Some actors have it; so do plenty of founders, GTM and sales people, community managers, teachers, recruiters and podcast hosts. If people always tell you you’re a natural, you’re exactly who we want to hear from, whether or not you’ve ever been on camera.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who we’re looking for

You should clearly be at least one of these, ideally both:

  • Highly expressive. Your face and voice do a lot of the talking. People can read what you think before you say it.
  • A brilliant conversationalist. You can make almost any topic interesting, you know a lot about a lot, and you’re genuinely curious about people.

Plus: warm, funny, personable, clear and confident English, and a relatable everyday look rather than model or influencer polish.

What’s involved

  • A short self-tape audition (two clips, about two minutes each)
  • If shortlisted, a relaxed 20-minute video call with our team
  • If selected, around five paid recording days working with creative direction on improvised conversations, reactions, expressions and vocal delivery. Travel and accommodation covered.

  • A separate $10,000 likeness licence fee
  • The initial licence is non-exclusive and covers three months of worldwide use for the public interactive demo, related promotion and paid ads, plus internal development and private demonstrations. Any renewal or later product use requires a further agreement and payment.
  • Permitted uses, safeguards and withdrawal terms are set out in a written likeness agreement before any recording.
  • This fits around a full-time job. Five days, a real fee, and you’d be the face of something genuinely new.
