Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

  • Ideally, the facilitator would attend 2 meetings with a planning group made up of staff and trustees (they are booked in the diary for October and November 2026) to plan the agenda and prepare any pre-reading material for all attendees.
  • The Development Day itself will be attended by staff, trustees, some volunteers, and possibly other stakeholders in the charity, and we need the facilitator to help lead the day, working towards outcomes agreed with the planning group, to help us plan our goals and aims for the coming 3 years or more of the charity.

Additional context:

As we are an HIV charity, finding funding is becoming more difficult each year, with many options closed to us and government funding always at risk. We also work with migrants and asylum-seekers, which is only funded via voluntary donations as they have no recourse to public funds. Financial constraints will be a very important part of the Development Day, but we also may want to look very far ahead to consider where our charity will be in 10 years, when the landscape for HIV will hopefully have changed as we reduce the number of new diagnoses each year (the current aim is to have no new diagnoses by 2030).
