Facilities Account Manager – Hard FM
Location: London, Moorgate / City of London
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per year + Excellent Benefits
Position Type: Permanent | Full Time | Site Based
£4m+ Hard FM contract | Landmark smart building | Prestigious corporate client
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile Facilities Management contract in the City of London, based within a brand-new, state-of-the-art smart building.
We’re recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading independent engineering and technical facilities services businesses, with a long-established reputation across building services, M&E maintenance and complex commercial environments.
This isn't a turnaround contract.
The client relationship is strong, the contract is performing well and an established engineering team is already in place.
The opportunity is to take a successful £4m+ technical FM contract and move it forward – developing the client relationship, driving continuous improvement, improving commercial performance and getting the most from the technology available within an exceptional new building.
The Role
You'll have overall responsibility for the commercial, operational and strategic performance of the account, including:
- Full ownership of a £4m+ P&L
- Leading the relationship with senior client stakeholders
- Managing the delivery of Hard FM, M&E and technical building services
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering and facilities team
- Driving contract performance, profitability and continuous improvement
- Identifying additional works, projects and opportunities to add value for the client
- Supporting the development of smart-building, energy and asset-performance initiatives
- Ensuring statutory compliance, health & safety and technical standards are maintained
- Managing specialist subcontractors and the wider supply chain
- Developing people, succession planning and creating opportunities for the existing team
- Using data, technology and building intelligence to improve service delivery

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
