Company Description
Ludlum Systems Ltd. works closely with customers to identify and deliver the most appropriate radiometric systems that meet demanding operational needs, providing installation, calibration, servicing, and lifetime support. The company’s engineers are highly experienced, qualified to relevant industry standards, and cleared to work within all UK nuclear facilities. In addition to supporting Ludlum products, the team offers comprehensive repair and calibration services for a wide range of radiometric contamination and clearance systems, regardless of brand or age. Ludlum Systems also provides upgrade packages to address product obsolescence and align equipment with current detection and performance standards. Engineers are based across the UK, enabling responsive breakdown and callout services that match customer operational requirements.
Role Description
The Facilities Administrator is a full-time, remote role responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration of facilities and service operations. This position manages maintenance schedules, service appointments, and engineer callouts, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

- Maintaining asset and service records
- Tracking compliance documentation
- Updating databases
- Preparing routine reports on facility-related activities
- Coordinating vendors
- Supporting logistics for field engineers
- Assisting with purchasing facility-related supplies and services as needed
- Contributing to continuous improvement of administrative processes, helping to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer support
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience with scheduling, record-keeping, and document management.
- Proficiency with office software and digital tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, databases, and cloud-based collaboration platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with engineers, vendors, and customers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data, compliance documentation, and service records.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in facilities administration, operations support, or a similar role; exposure to technical or industrial environments is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic health, safety, and compliance principles; familiarity with nuclear or radiometric industry standards is beneficial.
- Relevant vocational training or a certificate/degree in business administration, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
