Sports Centre Assistant
Salary: £14.75 per hour
Location: Epsom, Surrey, UK

Overview
Our client, a further education college, is seeking a Sports Centre Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of its sports and fitness facilities.
This varied role combines reception and customer service with practical support across the gym and sports facilities. You will handle bookings and enquiries, set up equipment, support gym inductions and fitness activities, and help ensure facilities are opened, supervised and secured appropriately.

Responsibilities
- Provide reception cover, answering telephone enquiries and assisting customers.
- Take bookings and use the centre's computerised booking system.
- Set up and take down sports and fitness equipment.
- Carry out gym inductions and support fitness classes.
- Open and close the gym and wider sports facilities.
- Open and secure the building as required.
- Supervise sports field activity.
- Work independently and as part of the wider team.
Requirements
- Self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Interest in sport and/or sports coaching.

- First aid qualification.
- Sports or gym-related qualification.
