Facilities Assistant

Forest House | Circa £26,700 per annum

We're a thriving team passionate about working together to deliver excellence, all in a natural forest environment

As a Facilities Assistant, you'll support the Facilities Supervisor in delivering an effective facilities service across Forest House. This varied role offers the opportunity to develop skills in facilities management, maintenance coordination, reception, security and health & safety, helping to create a safe, secure and professional environment for employees and visitors.

What you'll be doing

  • Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and coordinate repairs with contractors
  • Assist with fire alarm testing, health & safety audits and compliance activities
  • Manage pool car bookings and support fleet administration
  • Welcome visitors and conduct health & safety walkarounds for new starters
  • Coordinate courier collections and parcel management
  • Assist with office moves and workspace changes
  • Build positive relationships across the business to support facilities requirements
  • Help maintain a safe, high-quality working environment for colleagues and visitors

Your working hours

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your working hours and days will change, but they will usually be spread over 5 days per week.

You will also be part of a 3-weekly rota with other colleagues within the Facilities team with the earliest shift start time being 7am and the latest shift end time being 7pm. More details on the working hours will be explained during the interview process.

Please note, this role is office based role.

About you

Essential requirements:

  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Adaptable working approach and ability to multi-task
  • A current full UK driving licence

Desirable requirements:

  • English and Maths GCSE Grade C and above, or equivalent
  • Previous experience within an Assistant/Administrative role in an office environment
