Facilities Assistant - National Highways Account
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to Join our National Highways Account in National Highways, South Mimms - ERCC South Mimms EN63NP – This role will be based on site.
The salary is £15.19 per hour
The hours of work will be 42 hours per week: 4 days on 4 days off, shift pattern will be 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm - 7:00am
About Amey
Amey provides comprehensive facilities and estate management services for National Highways including maintenance, cleaning, and project management. We collaborate with clients, staff, and partners to ensure our 24/7 service maintains high standards with minimal disruption, keeping one of Europe's busiest road networks safe and operational.
What You Will Do
- Provide a friendly and professional reception service for visitors, contractors, and staff.
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures and ensure all guests are welcomed appropriately.
- Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries.
- Carry out daily building opening and procedures, including unlocking the premises and ensuring the site is ready for staff and visitors.
- Complete routine building checks and report any issues or concerns.
- Monitor building systems and report any alerts or faults to the Facilities Management team.
- Raise maintenance requests and assist with tracking progress.
- Support contractors and visitors while they are on site.
- Assist the Facilities Management team with the smooth day-to-day operation of the building.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
What You Will Bring
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills.
- The ability to identify and report issues clearly and promptly.
- A positive attitude and a strong team ethic
