About The Role:

Days of Working: This position will be based at Fylde Office, Preston working Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm - 30 minutes unpaid break each day.

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day delivery of facilities services across the site. This is a hands-on and varied role, essential to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organised working environment, while ensuring a high standard of service for building users and visitors.

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth movement of goods, equipment, and mail, as well as assisting with general facilities tasks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a practical role, takes pride in their work, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and overseeing effective delivery of Cleaning Services, Tech Services, Security, Helpdesk, Job Management, and other service lines/ad hoc areas as required.
  • Oversee day to day service delivery across the FM, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  • Support the Facilities Manager to ensure all tasks are completed within the company processes and procedures.
  • Supervising and coordinating work of in-house teams.
  • Completion of low level PPMs, such as water temperature checks, emergency lighting checks, fire alarm testing etc.
  • Complete regular stocktakes of stationary & hospitality and place orders as required.
  • Organisation of the site log books, reports and PPM documentation.
  • Complete basic reactive maintenance and handyperson jobs as received via our Helpdesk.
  • You will have an understanding of contracts and exceptional organisational skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
  • A full UK driving licence (where required).
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to carry out physical tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • A willingness to learn and follow health and safety procedures.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a facilities, porter, logistics, or similar role.
  • SIA Licence.
