Facilities Assistant

Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU)

This role is office based!

The Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU) Ltd, an IQVIA business, is one of the UK’s leading contract research organisations, and a facility where commitment to excellence is paramount. Job Overview

Support the organization on office facilities and equipment.

  • Manage the regular placement of orders and bookings for things such as taxis, couriers, lunches, stationery and office equipment.
  • Support the planning, coordination and preparation of major Business meetings.
  • May liaise on behalf of the manager with the landlord and suppliers as maintenance team, security, cleaning, postal or courier.
  • Support planned maintenance by arranging contractor access and accompanying engineers when required.
  • Carry out routine building checks and report maintenance faults or safety concerns.
  • Undertake projects, research data and make relevant analysis, making recommendations.
  • Support junior members of the team providing guidance and assigning some tasks as delegated by the manager.
  • Carry out painting and decorating on site and assist with remodelling selected areas.
  • Respond to facilities requests from staff and escalate urgent problems to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Physically fit
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language.
  • Driving license required.
