Help create a safe, efficient and welcoming workplace by supporting the day-to-day delivery of facilities services for the Leeds office and other locations across the North. You will act as a key point of contact for facilities matters, coordinate suppliers and compliance activity, and help maintain consistent service standards for colleagues and visitors. Working closely with the Regional Facilities Manager and the wider Facilities Operations team, you will build strong relationships, improve local processes and contribute to reliable regional service delivery. This is an opportunity for a developing facilities professional to broaden their practical experience, take ownership of local operations and grow their capability with support from an experienced team.

Within Group Corporate Services, Office Services provides the administrative, facilities and support services that help create a safe, productive working environment for client-facing teams.
The Facilities Assistant Manager will support the effective delivery of facilities services, with primary responsibility for the Leeds office. The role reports to the Regional Facilities Manager and works with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve operational queries, maintain service standards and identify practical improvements.

This role requires office attendance five days per week. Regular travel to Newcastle and occasional travel to Manchester, Liverpool and other locations in the North region will also be required.
Roles and responsibilities
- Act as the main local contact for facilities matters in Leeds, responding promptly to queries and escalating issues where needed.
- Deliver a professional, proactive and reliable facilities service that supports a positive experience for colleagues, visitors and external stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, suppliers and consultants to coordinate services and maintain agreed standards.
- Monitor local supplier contracts and service levels, supporting the development and implementation of clear service agreements.
- Lead the review and maintenance of facilities procedures, process maps and standard operating procedures so that local ways of working remain clear and consistent.
- Coordinate health and safety systems, inspections, audits and contractor activity, reporting defects, unsafe conditions and incidents in line with policy.
- Support environmental, information security and health and safety audits, including ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and relevant occupational health and safety requirements, and escalate actions appropriately.
- Produce accurate monthly reports and management information, contribute to service and value improvements, support regional cover, and complete agreed facilities projects.

Experience and skills needed
- Relevant, transferable experience in a facilities or workplace services role, with evidence of supporting day-to-day office operations.
- Experience of coordinating suppliers or service contracts and monitoring delivery against agreed standards.
- Experience of supporting health and safety, compliance inspections or audit activity in a workplace environment.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with evidence of producing accurate reports, records or management information to deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience of building productive relationships with colleagues and external contacts at different levels.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, with evidence of using initiative, improving processes and working effectively both independently and as part of a regional team.
Qualifications required
- IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH certification or a current equivalent.
- A-level qualifications, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
