What it's like to work here

Knole and Ightham Mote are two extraordinary places at the heart of Kent, each with their own unique story to tell. Knole sits proudly in the heart of Sevenoaks and is one of England's most important historic houses. The estate features magnificent showrooms, a world-class collection of paintings and furniture, historic courtyards, a gatehouse tower, conservation studio and a breathtaking 1,000-acre medieval deer park.

Nearby, Ightham Mote is a beautiful 700-year-old moated manor house, surrounded by stunning gardens and over 500 acres of accessible countryside. Romantic and picturesque, this much-loved place is nestled in the Kent countryside between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

We are passionate about looking after these special places, ensuring they can be enjoyed by everyone, for ever. Visitors are at the heart of everything we do, and we're proud to create welcoming, memorable experiences for the many people who come to explore, learn and connect with nature, beauty and history.

You'll be joining a busy, supportive team that works across both properties. We enjoy a challenge, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work closely together to deliver excellent visitor experiences and high standards of care for our places. We're practical, hands-on and collaborative, always ready to roll up our sleeves and support one another to get the job done.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
