An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Manager / Account Manager
You’ll be joining a fast-growing, privately owned Facilities Management and Projects business delivering high-quality technical services across premium commercial environments throughout the UK and Europe.

The opportunity
This is a senior, highly visible position with responsibility for the overall performance of a flagship commercial contract.
You’ll act as the principal point of contact for the client, taking ownership of P&L, contract performance, engineering delivery, commercial strategy and stakeholder relationships.
Working closely with the on-site engineering team and specialist supply chain, you’ll ensure the contract consistently delivers against agreed KPIs, SLAs, compliance standards and financial targets, while identifying opportunities to improve performance, control costs and grow the account.

The role
As Contract Manager, you’ll take overall ownership of the commercial and operational performance of the contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Taking full P&L and budget responsibility
- Managing contract performance against KPIs, SLAs and financial targets
- Acting as the senior point of contact for the client
- Building strong, long-term client and stakeholder relationships
- Leading client meetings, monthly reviews and contract reporting
- Overseeing the engineering operation and wider service delivery
- Managing resource planning, team performance and operational priorities
- Managing specialist subcontractors, suppliers and service partners
- Controlling labour, materials and subcontractor expenditure
- Identifying cost savings, efficiencies and commercial opportunities
- Managing variations, quotations and additional works
- Identifying opportunities for additional revenue and account growth
- Ensuring PPM, reactive works and statutory compliance requirements are achieved
- Overseeing Health & Safety, risk and contractor compliance
- Monitoring asset performance and lifecycle requirements
- Driving continuous improvement across the contract
- Ensuring service delivery consistently meets or exceeds client expectations

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced FM professional who combines strong commercial awareness with technical understanding and excellent client-management skills.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Contract Manager, Account Manager, Technical Services Manager or similar
- Strong P&L, budget and commercial management experience
- Experience managing technically led FM or M&E contracts
- Strong understanding of commercial mechanical and electrical building services
- Experience leading engineering teams and specialist subcontractors
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience managing KPIs, SLAs and contractual performance
- Strong understanding of variations, additional works and commercial opportunities
- Good knowledge of statutory compliance and Health & Safety requirements
- Confidence managing operational and commercial issues at senior level
