Facilities Coordinator
Location: AkzoNobel Felling

At our Felling site, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, high-quality and professional facility that our employees, customers and visitors can be proud of.
Job Purpose
As Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving facility standards across the Felling site. You will coordinate internal teams, the Facilities Management service and external contractors to ensure the site is well maintained, safe, clean and welcoming, while supporting strong HSE&S, quality and sustainability performance.
You will help ensure Felling remains a world-class facility and demonstrate the value of continued investment in our site.

- Maintain and implement standards for site facilities, including walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, layouts, floor markings and signage.
- Develop and maintain housekeeping standards, guidelines and compliance checklists, working closely with area owners and department managers.
- Support 5S standards and continuous improvement across operational areas.
- Coordinate the provision of tools and equipment required for housekeeping activities.
- Maintain external building standards, working with CBRE, Engineering and contractors on repairs, painting, window cleaning and other works.
- Coordinate site signage, gardens and landscaping standards.
- Manage facilities maintenance activities and external contractors.
- Create and manage a rolling facilities maintenance programme for operational areas.
- Regularly review facility requirements with the facilities management service and ensure available resources are used effectively.
- Work closely with HSE&S, Engineering and operational teams to ensure facilities meet agreed standards.
Job Requirements
- GCSE, A Level, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Good English and Maths skills.
- Intermediate IT/ICT skills.
- Good knowledge of the Felling site and its operational requirements.
- Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, external service providers and other stakeholders.
- A proactive, self-motivated and practical approach to problem solving.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in facilities, site services, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
- Experience coordinating contractors or external service providers.
- Knowledge of 5S, housekeeping standards and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with facilities maintenance programmes.
- Good understanding of HSE&S, quality and sustainability requirements.
- Knowledge of Quick Kaizen or other continuous improvement tools.
- Confidence to challenge and positively influence others to maintain agreed standards.
