As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate Facilities Coordinator to join our team in Bristol and contribute to the smooth running of our facilities, enabling our students and staff to thrive.

Role Overview

The Facilities Coordinator will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our educational settings. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating maintenance activities. Your organisational skills and proactive approach will support a productive and safe environment for all users of our premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure all facilities are safe, clean, and operational.
  • Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule and supervise planned maintenance and urgent repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies, including risk assessments and fire safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Support the management of space allocation and room bookings to optimise facility usage.
  • Assist in budget monitoring for facilities-related expenses and report on costs and variances.
  • Respond promptly to facilities-related enquiries and issues raised by staff, students, and visitors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within the organisation’s facilities.
  • Support emergency procedures and business continuity planning related to facilities management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities management or coordination, preferably within the education sector or a similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in facilities management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in using facilities management software, maintenance tracking systems, or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in facilities management, health and safety, or building maintenance are desirable.
