Estimator

Location: South Wales
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We're working with an established and growing business to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction estimating who enjoys working across the full estimating process, from carrying out site surveys and understanding customer requirements through to producing accurate quotations, specifications and Bills of Materials.

You'll play an important role in ensuring projects are accurately priced, commercially viable and fully prepared before work begins, while building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

This is what you'll be doing

As the Estimator, you'll take ownership of the estimating process and work closely with customers, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped and delivered.

  • Prepare accurate quotations and estimates in line with customer requirements, agreed SLAs and company profit margins.
  • Attend customer meetings and carry out detailed site surveys to understand project requirements, site restrictions and specifications.
  • Review drawings, specifications and project information to develop accurate scopes of work and pricing.
  • Produce detailed Bills of Materials, ensuring the required materials, tools, plant and equipment are available ahead of project commencement.
  • Support the wider team with new business opportunities, customer meetings and contract retention through a high level of service and commercial awareness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
