Insight Global are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Electrician for a leading global organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
This position requires 5 days onsite in Plymouth, England.
About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, remedial works, fault finding, and maintenance activities across a busy manufacturing facility. You will work closely with internal teams, apprentices, and external contractors to ensure all electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and complete small electrical installations across site.
- Carry out remedial works following fixed-wire inspection reports.
- Perform reactive fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on facilities-related electrical systems.
- Coordinate safely and effectively with external electrical contractors.
- Provide support and guidance when working alongside apprentices.
- Assist with electrical installation and maintenance activities within production environments.

Must-Have Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with completed electrical apprenticeship in installation and commissioning.
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualification).
- IPAF 3a & 3b certification.
- IOSH Working Safely certification.
- Experience working with distribution boards, electrical wiring, and containment systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a safety-focused team.
- Flexibility to support shutdown and isolation work when required.

Plusses
- PASMA certification or practical experience using PASMA systems.
- Experience working within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and occasional travel for professional development courses.
