Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Location: Kensington, London (Hybrid)

Step into a role where operational excellence meets strategic leadership. As Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you'll lead the delivery of facilities management services across EssilorLuxottica's UK Retail property portfolio, ensuring our stores and support offices remain safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.

  • Own a National Estate: Take responsibility for facilities and maintenance operations across more than 700 retail locations and support offices, helping to deliver an exceptional environment for colleagues and customers.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Lead facilities strategy, contractor performance, compliance, and maintenance programmes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead & Influence: Manage and develop a dedicated facilities team, working closely with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and operational teams across multiple business functions.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous Facilities & Maintenance experience, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Strong contractor, supplier, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, expenditure, and cost control initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Strong understanding of facilities compliance, maintenance, and operational best practice.
  • Project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland to visit stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take an operational lead on facilities and maintenance operations across retail stores and support offices.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Oversee key supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring service levels and KPIs are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage facilities budgets, expenditure reporting, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support office and store refurbishment, renovation, and dilapidation projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement across facilities processes and service delivery.
  • Lead and develop Facilities Coordinators and reception teams to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Monitor performance and deliver regular reporting on budgets, SLAs, and operational activity.
