About the Role
The facilities department employ a variety of support staff to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. As a Facilities Management Assistant you will provide a range of tasks which will primarily involve catering, food preparation duties. You will be required to prepare and serve meals within our in-patient area. The role will also involve the cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas. The role of the Facilities Management Assistant (FMA) remains an integral part of our service delivery, carrying out a range of facilities tasks and ensuring that catering and cleaning standards are achieved and maintained.
Base: Mossley Hill Hospital, Park Drive, Liverpool, L18 8BU
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the opening of a new Mersey Care Hospital, working with other teams to ensure the safety of new introduced services users to the Hospital and keeping the Hospital up to standard.
Shifts Available:
- 27.5 hours per week: 5 days over 7 day rolling rota, 1:30pm - 7pm
- 15 hours per week: 4pm - 7pm, Monday - Friday

- Must have a flexible approach to your workload, be able to work to deadlines and have high standards of quality in your work.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the need to deal with service users and staff in a helpful and supportive manner.
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude and an understanding of health and safety in relation to safe working practices.
- Previous experience of hospital catering and cleaning duties and specifically a catering provision within a mental health environment would be an advantage, however, training will be provided.
- Must have or acquire an appropriate Food Hygiene certificate.
- Basic computer skills.
