Vibe Recruit is delighted to be working on behalf of an established and growing business to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their Facilities Management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with experience within Facilities Management, construction, building maintenance or a similar environment to take ownership of estimating a varied range of works across commercial supermarket sites.

The projects are diverse and can include petrol forecourt rebuilds, commercial roofing projects and general building and maintenance works, meaning no two projects will necessarily be the same.

The role is predominantly office based, with much of the work completed through desktop estimating. There will, however, be occasional travel to customer sites to carry out surveys and understand project requirements. Travel will form a relatively small part of the position and could cover locations from Bristol through South Wales and West Wales, and occasionally into Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates, specifications and quotations for a variety of facilities management and construction projects.
  • Manage the quotation process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
  • Carry out desktop estimating, reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to accurately scope works.
  • Conduct occasional site surveys where required to establish project requirements and site-specific considerations.
  • Calculate project costs including labour, materials, tools, equipment and plant.
  • Ensure quotations are commercially accurate and aligned with required profit margins.
  • Produce detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring everything required is identified ahead of project commencement.
  • Develop clear and accurate scopes of work based on customer requirements.
  • Work closely with contractors, suppliers and internal operational teams to ensure projects are accurately costed and planned.
  • Prepare relevant project documentation, including consideration of health & safety requirements and site restrictions.
  • Ensure quotations are completed within agreed customer service levels and timescales.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout the estimating process.
  • Attend customer meetings where required and support the wider team with new business opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
