I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you:
We're looking for a confident and experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong operational background and a passion for creating safe, compliant and high-performing workplaces. You will demonstrate a strong Facilities Management experience within a fast-paced, client-focused environment, supported by a recognised FM qualification and a NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
You will have a strong working knowledge of UK health, safety and fire legislation, with proven experience carrying out risk assessments, leading incident investigations and supporting or acting as part of an organisation's Competent Person arrangements. Comfortable providing assurance to senior stakeholders, you'll be able to identify, manage and escalate risks where controls are not sufficiently robust or deliverable.
We're looking for someone with demonstrable experience managing outsourced Facilities Management contracts, ideally within a Total Facilities Management (TFM) model. You'll be confident overseeing contractor performance and compliance, including permits to work, RAMS, PEEPs and on-site safety requirements, while driving accountability, service excellence and continuous improvement.
You'll also have experience managing facilities budgets, service contracts and landlord relationships, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential, as you'll work closely with colleagues across the business and be willing to travel between our UK offices to support a genuine "one team" culture.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance, while ensuring our workplaces remain safe, efficient and welcoming environments for colleagues and clients alike.
