Facilities Management Professional

Location | London & UK-wide (with opportunities in Ireland and globally)

Recruiter Contact | Andrea Gaffney

Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management, and development consultancy with over 20,000 employees across 50+ countries and 140+ offices. We drive impactful change in key sectors—built environment, energy, transportation, and water—bring collaboration, expertise, and innovation to every project.

As an employee-owned organisation, we empower teams to grow, innovate, and champion each other. Our culture fosters inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, ensuring everyone can thrive.

About the Business Unit

The Buildings Unit (BLD) delivers diverse skills across five critical sectors (Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water) from UK and European offices. Partnerships with local teams and technical leadership across the Group support high-impact projects—where expertise meets real-world challenges.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Facilities Management Professional to join our expanding FM Advisory team—a challenging and rewarding role helping clients transform how they manage buildings to meet evolving needs. The pace of change in the built environment is accelerating, with digital innovation shaping how we measure efficiency and usability across public and private sectors.

As a Facilities Management Consultant, you’ll advise clients on reducing costs, enhancing performance, and planning for sustainability. Demand is high across the UK, Ireland, and globally, and we’re seeking to grow a team that thrives in advisory and consultancy spaces.

Your Responsibilities

Support all stages of asset and facilities management to develop long-term strategies that maximise productivity and optimise value. Core tasks include:

  • Supporting operational FM teams
  • Contributing to procurement and consultancy processes
  • Improving asset management (including CAFM, lifecycle planning, cost analysis, and benchmarking)
  • Assisting with strategic transitions, such as end-user benefits analysis
  • Engaging with clients to deliver measurable, sustainable improvements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
