About the Role:
Do you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving problems and helping keep facilities operating at their best? If you're safety-focused, organised and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders, we want to hear from you.
Under limited direction of the Workshop Senior, you will support planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with priorities set by the Workshop Senior and Facilities Operations Manager at Canberra Hospital. This varied role involves assisting with essential works, general maintenance activities and minor repairs that do not require trade qualifications, while supporting FM deliverables through collaboration with a diverse range of workshops and Senior Staff. You will also undertake general cleaning duties within plantrooms and workshops, assist with minor relocations of equipment and furniture, maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, and ensure all report sheets, work orders, logbooks and test certificates are completed accurately. By following defined WH&S and injury management policies and procedures, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.

We are seeking someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and a well-organised approach to managing competing priorities. You will bring excellent attention to detail and a sound knowledge of WHS and safety requirements within a facilities management or construction environment.
