Facilities Manager - Maple Cross
We are recruiting a Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a three-building corporate office campus in Maple Cross.
This is a site-based role with a strong hard services focus (you do not need to be technical), alongside responsibility for cleaning, housekeeping, fabric maintenance, and the overall workplace experience.
You will join a large UK and Ireland facilities management provider employing more than 27,000 people. The position is based on a secure five-acre business park comprising three office buildings and almost 100,000 sq ft of commercial space. The campus can accommodate approximately 750 employees during its busiest midweek periods and is occupied by major international organisations operating within the automotive and financial services sectors.
Requirements
You should have previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Technical Facilities Manager, Building Manager, Hard Services Manager, or Assistant Facilities Manager.
You will also need:
- Experience managing facilities within a corporate, commercial, or multi-building environment
- A good broad understanding of mechanical and electrical building services
- Knowledge of HVAC, plant rooms, fire systems, water hygiene, and statutory compliance
- Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance contractors
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating cleaning, housekeeping, or other soft services
- The ability to review contractor quotations and recommendations
- Confidence managing building faults, service interruptions, and urgent issues
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A visible and practical approach to facilities management

You do not need to be a qualified engineer. However, you must understand how commercial buildings operate and be comfortable discussing technical issues with specialist contractors.
Responsibilities
As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing facilities services across three corporate office buildings
- Acting as the main day-to-day contact for client stakeholders
- Overseeing planned and reactive building maintenance
- Monitoring the condition and performance of plant and building assets
- Managing specialist mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors
- Coordinating contractors covering controls, fire systems, water hygiene, and statutory services
- Ensuring maintenance, inspections, and remedial works are completed correctly
- Managing heating, cooling, lighting, water, and general building issues
- Reviewing contractor quotations, recommendations, and proposed repairs
- Preparing business cases for major repairs and asset replacement
- Managing an ageing estate and prioritising maintenance investment
- Overseeing fabric maintenance and minor building repairs
- Coordinating facilities coordinators and fabric technicians
- Maintaining high cleaning and housekeeping standards
- Managing service issues through to completion
- Keeping stakeholders informed throughout repairs and disruptions
- Monitoring contractor performance, safety, and value for money
- Supporting budget management and cost control
- Maintaining a safe, compliant, and professional workplace

The Team
You will be supported by an established onsite team that includes:
- Facilities coordinators
- Fabric technicians
- Cleaning and housekeeping personnel
- Specialist external maintenance contractors
Most technical maintenance is delivered by specialist contractors. You will be responsible for identifying the issue, arranging the correct support, challenging recommendations where appropriate, and making sure the work is completed properly.
