Join us to expertly manage our award-winning, city centre, Head Office facilities at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle. More than just an office, our nationally recognised sustainable workplace is home to colleagues, tenants, visitors and a vibrant public-facing café. As Facilities Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our building, ensuring everyone enjoys a safe, compliant, sustainable and well-maintained environment in which to work or visit.
We're looking for someone whose personality is as engaging and memorable as our building itself, someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptional workspace standards and will be technically brilliant - ensuring everyone has a seamless workspace experience.
What you’ll do
- Manage maintenance activity to keep our workplace reliable and at a high standard.
- Lead safe and compliant building facilities management including Health and Safety, Fire Safety, site security and business continuity.
- Lead a small team, oversee supplier and contractor relationships and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a workplace that people genuinely enjoy spending time in.
- Use building data and feedback to drive continuous improvements.
- Monitor and maintain smart workplace technology.

You have
- Facilities management experience in a busy workplace environment with the ability to manage expenditure and services, ensuring value for money.
- Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory workplace compliance, including maintenance, health and safety, fire safety, security and business continuity.
- Experience of coordinating planned, reactive, and cyclical maintenance.
- Experience of managing suppliers and contractors against agreed service standards.
- A background in overseeing services such as cleaning, security, waste, pest control and building maintenance.

The practical bits
- You’ll work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- You’ll be based at our office at One Strawberry Lane.
