The Role

The Facilities Manager will be a senior member of the on-site team and the first point of contact for all facilities management aspects of Park Modern. They will have an engineering background and a proven track record in super prime, amenity-rich schemes.

The Facilities Manager will be instrumental in working together with the General Manager to create a bespoke approach to management across the development. This person will also work closely with Rhodium’s head office.

The Candidate

They will have significant experience in industry-leading, amenity-rich schemes and will bring skills that have been acquired in these areas, including:

  • Effectively manage apartment fit-out and alterations.
  • Ensure plant and systems operate in accordance with design and post-commissioning, incorporates best practice with software and controls packages operating to operational requirements.
  • Close out snags and implement agreed processes to capture snags and defects.
  • Develop effective, proactive relationships with all contractors and ensure they provide the highest level of service standards.
  • Monitor, coach, and mentor all members of the hard and soft service partner site teams to deliver a one team ethos.
  • Work closely with the General Manager on a daily basis. Provide resilience and cover for each other. It is envisaged both roles will share the Estate Management Office.
  • Develop strong relationships with residents and be the first point of contact for their facilities related queries. Lead on technical inductions within their apartments.
  • Implement proactive inspection and maintenance regime on building fabric to ensure aesthetics are of the highest standard.
  • Lead on health & safety compliance across the development.
  • Develop robust weekend and nights escalation processes and emergency response solutions.
  • Develop emergency contingency plans for the development.
  • Produce formal compliance reports across all facilities related matters.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in service efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the restaurant operator, adjoining developments, and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within 5-star Hotel or super-prime residential.
  • Engineering background.
  • Strong organizational skills and significant understanding of health and safety, NEBOSH preferred.
  • Effective PC skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience in working with CAFM systems. Interest in continuous improvement and development of new technologies.
  • Flexible, collaborative, hands-on approach to enable success in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build and develop positive working relationships with the wider team and Service Partners.
