Facilities Manager – Private Healthcare
£50,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Oxford

Looking for a role where you can take real ownership of a modern, high-spec healthcare facility?
Compass Associates are working exclusively with a leading private healthcare provider in Oxford to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager for a state-of-the-art day-case hospital.
This is a key site leadership role with responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient running of the facility. You will lead the on-site facilities function, manage external hard and soft FM providers, and act as the main point of contact for all estates, engineering, maintenance and compliance matters.
Reporting into the Operations Director, you will have significant autonomy and work closely with clinical teams, contractors and central support functions.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day facilities and estates function across the site.
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance.
- Overseeing hard and soft FM contractors and service partners.
- Acting as the site lead for Health & Safety and key compliance areas.
- Ensuring compliance with HTMs, HBNs, CQC, HSE, fire safety, water safety, Legionella and ventilation standards.
- Managing permits, compliance records, audits and statutory documentation.
- Leading and developing the in-house facilities team.
- Managing facilities budgets, suppliers and service performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Supporting minor works, refurbishment and capital projects.
- Working closely with clinical departments to ensure facilities activity causes minimal disruption to patient services.
- Identifying estates risks and ensuring any compliance issues are investigated and resolved promptly.

What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Facilities or estates management experience within healthcare or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare estates compliance, particularly HTMs and HBNs.
- Experience managing hard FM, engineering contractors and planned/reactive maintenance.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- A facilities, engineering or building services qualification.
- Experience managing external contractors and service providers.
- Strong Health & Safety and risk management knowledge.
- Experience using CAFM systems and managing facilities performance data.
- Budget management experience.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Experience within an NHS Trust, private hospital, day-case centre, diagnostic facility or specialist healthcare environment would be particularly advantageous.
