Your New Company

An innovative and rapidly growing technology business based in Bristol is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a critical stage of its expansion. The organisation is preparing to relocate part of its laboratory, R&D and pilot-scale operations to a new facility and requires an experienced professional to lead the facilities' aspect of the project whilst supporting day-to-day site operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business during a significant period of growth and help establish the foundations for its future success.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will take ownership of facilities management and site operations across office, laboratory and pilot plant environments. A key priority will be overseeing the successful relocation of part of the business into a new Bristol facility, ensuring all facilities-related activities are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.

This role will suit a hands-on Facilities Manager who enjoys working autonomously and can balance strategic planning with practical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the facilities' work stream for a major site relocation project.
  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations across office, laboratory and pilot plant environments.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Support the setup and operational readiness of the new facility.
  • Monitor and manage facilities budgets and expenditure.
  • Maintain site services, utility records, asset registers and contractor documentation.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Manage H&S systems, including COSHH, waste management and site documentation.
  • Support inspections, audits and certification processes.
  • Work closely with engineering and operational teams to understand site requirements and deliver effective facilities solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
