About The Role
Are you an experienced facilities or engineering professional looking to take ownership of a site and make a real difference? We're looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of safe, compliant, and reliable facilities services at our client's manufacturing site in Northampton.
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of our client's operations - you'll manage day-to-day maintenance, drive compliance, build strong client relationships, and identify opportunities to grow the contract. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, plus minor project work, working with both in-house technicians and specialist contractors
- Owning site operations, budgets, forecasting, and reporting for the client site
- Managing the contract against agreed KPIs and SLAs, championing continuous compliance improvement
- Building strong relationships with client stakeholders and identifying opportunities to grow the scope of work
- Overseeing electrical, mechanical, and building services - including heating, cooling, compressed air, pure water, and effluent systems
- Driving improvements to Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Leading, developing, and motivating your site team
- Chairing monthly performance review meetings with clients and service providers
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation
- Participating In The On-call Escalation Rota

Qualifications
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSCS (or equivalent)
- Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
- Relevant engineering qualification (degree, HNC, or equivalent) - preferred
- Legionella (L8) And/or Asbestos Management Training - Preferred

Experience
- Familiarity managing engineering or hard services contracts, ideally within FMCG
- Experience managing planned and reactive work order systems across multiple sites
- Experience managing engineering personnel
- Background in food manufacturing or distribution is an advantage
- Confident managing contractors, budgets, and site compliance
- Solid working knowledge of key H&S legislation (PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, etc.)
