We are seeking an experienced Interim Facilities Manager to provide support for an initial 3-month period across a modern office and development located on the outskirts of Manchester, with potential responsibility for additional properties across the Manchester area.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Facilities Manager who can quickly take ownership of day-to-day facilities operations, contractor management, compliance and health & safety across multiple sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES...
- Manage the day-to-day facilities operations across the main office/development and additional Manchester-based properties as required.
- Oversee hard and soft facilities management services.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Monitor planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
- Ensure appropriate health & safety standards are maintained across all properties.
- Review and manage risk assessments, RAMS and permits where required.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify any maintenance, compliance or safety issues.
- Act as a key point of contact for building occupants, contractors and stakeholders.
- Support the management of budgets, invoices and maintenance expenditure.
- Ensure outstanding actions and remedial works are followed through to completion.
- Provide practical support across other Manchester properties when required.
- Produce clear updates and reports on facilities, compliance and outstanding works.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS...
- Proven experience working as a Facilities Manager or in a similar operational FM role.
- Experience within commercial office/property environments.
- Strong understanding of both hard and soft FM services.
- IOSH qualification – essential.
- Full UK driving licence – essential.
- Ability and willingness to travel between properties across the Manchester area.
- Strong contractor and supplier management experience.
- Good understanding of health & safety, compliance, risk assessments and RAMS.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in an interim position.

DESIRABLE...
- NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience managing multiple commercial properties/sites.
- CAFM/maintenance management system experience.
- Experience with statutory compliance, PPM programmes and building services.
- IWFM membership or relevant FM qualification.
The successful candidate will be practical, organised and confident dealing with contractors, stakeholders and day-to-day facilities issues, while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and compliance.
