Responsibilities / Tasks

We are looking for a proactive Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our Eastleigh site.

This is a broad and highly visible role, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site's facilities, building services, security and access, contractors, statutory compliance, cleaning services, facilities projects and a small team.

Working closely with Site Leadership team, QSHE, IT, Fire Marshal, landlord and a range of external contractors and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring the Eastleigh site remains safe, functional, well maintained and fit for purpose.

This is an ideal opportunity for a professional who enjoys a varied role, takes ownership and is comfortable balancing operational priorities with longer-term improvement projects.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Managing the day-to-day facilities operation across the Eastleigh site, including offices area, workshop and shared areas.
  • Ensuring the site meets GEA Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
  • Managing contractors and suppliers delivering hard and soft facilities services.
  • Reviewing RAMS and managing permits to work in line with GEA procedures.
  • Coordinating statutory inspections, servicing and compliance activities, including LOLER and PUWER.
  • Working closely with QSHE to complete inspections and close out audit findings, non-conformances and Near Miss actions.
  • Supporting fire safety arrangements and working closely with the Fire Marshals.
  • Managing building security, access cards, keys and alarm codes.
  • Managing the relationship with the landlord and landlord's agent.
  • Project managing site changes, upgrades and facilities improvement projects.
  • Coordinating contractor and visitor inductions.
  • Maintaining facilities and IT asset records and coordinating equipment disposal where required.
  • Leading and coordinating the Facilities team, including day and evening cleaning teams.
  • Ensuring employees and visitors receive clear communication about facilities changes, works and temporary arrangements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve site efficiency, service quality and the overall employee and visitor experience.

Your Profile / Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a Facilities Management, Building Management, Property Management or similar role.
  • Experience managing contractors, suppliers and outsourced services.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and facilities compliance.
  • Experience managing maintenance, inspections and statutory compliance activities.
  • Experience reviewing RAMS and managing permits to work.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing or coordinating a facilities or maintenance team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to unexpected issues.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
