Overview
As Facilities Manager, you will own the delivery of our facilities strategy across our European Portfolio which includes Stores, Wellness Clubs and Workplace locations.
You will be the primary point of contact for Facilities Management in the region, and will be responsible for proactively preventing, identifying, tracking, and resolving all facilities-related issues across all Europe retail stores and office locations. While external partners will manage major construction and heavy project execution, this role is responsible for day-to-day facilities oversight, Service Channel management, issue escalation, and ensuring all requests are followed through to completion.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong commercial and contract-management acumen, deep FM knowledge across multiple European markets, who is hands-on, highly organized, and solutions-oriented professional who can remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly across multiple stakeholders, and adapt to spontaneous operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day owner and escalation point for the outsourced FM provider delivering hard and soft services across the European estate.
- Oversee the daily operations of retail facilities, ensuring that all functions are performed in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and supervise the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Vendor Management: Develop and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring service contracts are adhered to and invoices are managed, monitor and enforce SLA’s and KPI’s; run regular performance reviews, and drive service improvement.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee minor renovation and construction projects, managing timelines and budgets while minimizing disruption to retail operations.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, work orders, and inspections. Prepare regular reports on facility issues, project status, and budgetary concerns.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and the operational readiness of every European location.
- Partner with the Director of Retail Facilities to align regional priorities, reporting, standards, and playbooks with the global programme.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
