Facilities Manager - Hard FM
Hook, Hampshire
£48,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance
Full-time | Permanent
DCS Engineering are currently supporting a leading organisation across the recruitment drive for a Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of hard FM services across a high-profile operational site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager, Hard FM Manager, Technical Facilities Manager, or M&E Facilities professional looking for a client-facing operational leadership position. The role will oversee subcontracted hard services delivery, compliance, contractor performance, and customer relationships within a demanding, high-expectation environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of hard FM services through specialist subcontractors across the site.
- Leading and supporting two Assistant Facilities Managers, ensuring effective operational oversight and team performance.
- Ensuring planned preventative maintenance and reactive works are delivered in line with contractual requirements and compliance standards.
- Managing day-to-day client and stakeholder relationships within a high-expectation operational environment.
- Monitoring contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement where required.
- Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring service delivery meets agreed standards.
- Supporting the delivery of small works and quoted projects across the site.
- Ensuring statutory maintenance, compliance requirements, and operational standards are maintained.
- Producing operational reports and maintaining accurate compliance documentation.
- Supporting effective health and safety management across site operations.
- Ensuring customer requirements are communicated effectively to operational teams and subcontractors.
- Providing strong operational leadership across hard FM service delivery.

The Candidate:

- Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Technical Facilities Manager, Hard FM Manager, Technical Services Manager, or similar.
- Strong experience managing hard FM services and outsourced/subcontracted service delivery.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and monitoring contractor performance.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills within demanding operational environments.
- Experience managing planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and operational compliance requirements.
- Experience leading operational teams and managing direct reports.
- Technical qualifications or a strong technical background in either electrical or mechanical disciplines are highly desirable.
- IOSH qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- A practical understanding of M&E / hard FM service delivery and contractor management.
