About Us
Housing for Women is a registered charity and independent housing association. We champion female empowerment by providing and promoting affordable homes for women and gender-specific support services.
Since 1934, we have been working to build a more equal society for women, creating a world where everyone has a safe roof over their head regardless of circumstance, and where violence against women is no longer tolerated.
We are now looking for a Facilities Officer to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working 17.5 hours per week.

As a Facilities Officer, you will ensure the efficient day-to-day administrative operation of our head office and satellite sites, providing a high standard of facilities support to colleagues across the organisation.
You'll ensure incoming post and formal notices are logged, coordinated and progressed efficiently, making sure key timescales and deadlines are met whilst escalating matters to the Executive Team where required.
Helping to coordinate work, events and communications across the organisation, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and provide backup support to the PA to the Chief Executive as required.
You will also be responsible for budget monitoring and administration, support the Governance Manager with governance and information management activities (including SARs and archiving), and have a good understanding of Health & Safety compliance to support the organisation's facilities management responsibilities.
About You
To be considered as a Facilities Officer, you will need:
- Experience in office or facilities administration
- Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors or external service providers
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work proactively
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of teams
- The willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings or events
- Confidence using office systems, document management and Microsoft Office applications
