Facilities Officer

No two days are the same, with a mix of manual handling activities and work taking place both indoors and outdoors, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys a practical and varied working environment.

Training and development

From day one, you’ll receive a full induction and ongoing support from your line manager and colleagues. Training will be provided across all aspects of your work, including driving, utility vehicle operation, security awareness, disability awareness, health and safety, and the use of site equipment. This includes the instruction required to operate vehicles such as a forklift truck and the site's accessible electric minibus.

Working closely with an experienced Facilities Officer, you’ll develop your skills across the full range of Goods-In and facilities operations. Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged, with opportunities to broaden your skills and take on new responsibilities as your experience grows.

What to expect

Our recruitment process is fair, transparent, and based on merit. Here is a brief overview of each stage, in order:

• An initial online application form including pre-screening questions to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria.
• Online Situational Judgement Test (SJT), in which you rate the appropriateness of responses to a series of short scenarios.
• Full online application form.
• An application sift that assesses your motivation for the role and relevant experience.
• A virtual interview.
• If successful, you will receive a conditional offer of employment.

Please note, you must successfully pass each stage of the process to progress to the next. Your application may take around 6 to 9 months to process, including vetting, so we advise that you continue any current employment until you have received your final job offer.
