The Maison FranƧaise d'Oxford (MFO), a Franco-British research and cultural centre affiliated with the University of Oxford, is seeking a proactive and hands-on Facility Officer to support the day-to-day operations of its buildings, accommodation facilities, and events programme.

If you have experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations and enjoy working in a dynamic academic and cultural environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify maintenance and repair requirements across MFO buildings
  • Prepare conference and meeting rooms, coordinate catering, and support events
  • Check building systems, including lighting, heating, boilers, and fire alarms
  • Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks
  • Coordinate external contractors and oversee larger maintenance works with the Director
  • Manage keys, building access, stock, storage, and routine purchasing
  • Oversee cleaning standards and communal areas
  • Conduct resident check-in and check-out inspections
  • Provide logistical support for academic and cultural events
