Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre £35,000-£40,000 | 39 hours per week
We are looking for a commercially minded Facilities & Operations Manager to help us improve the performance of our Centre and support our ambitions for sustainable growth, future investment and development. This is an opportunity for a practical, proactive manager who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions and finding better ways of working.
You will be responsible for our facilities, maintenance, operational expenditure and the systems that keep a busy sporting venue running effectively. Working closely with the CEO and wider management team, you will manage an agreed operational budget, identify efficiencies, oversee contractors and maintenance, and help ensure that operational decisions are made through a commercial lens - balancing cost, quality, customer experience and long-term value.
What we are looking for
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and expenditure.
- Practical facilities or operational management experience.
- A proactive approach to identifying problems and delivering improvements.
- Sound judgement, confidence and the ability to make commercially informed decisions.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance and operational compliance.
- Excellent organisation, communication and collaborative working skills.
- A hands-on, accountable approach and a willingness to support the needs of a seven-day business.

Experience in sport, leisure, hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment would be welcome. Relevant IOSH Managing Safely, the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent relevant qualification would be desirable. WTPC is committed to developing the right candidate and would be willing to support investment in appropriate professional qualifications as part of their development.
The role is 39 hours per week, with flexibility required to work some evenings and weekends, support occasional opening or closing procedures and attend major events.

Recruitment Process
- Closing date: Friday 9 October 2026
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to visit the Centre during the Lexus Wrexham Open, taking place from 18-25 October, ahead of formal interviews.
- Formal interviews: Expected during the week commencing 26 October.
